Our History
The current firm of Burton, Fuller & Associates, P.C. has a long history within the community of Ottawa. The firm originally began as the law firm of Hupp & Irion, founded in 1950 by George C. Hupp and Frederick W. Irion. George C. Hupp III joined the firm in 1978. In 1981 the firm incorporated as a professional corporation under the name of Hupp, Irion & Hupp, P.C. In 1986, Hupp, Irion & Hupp merged with the law firm of Lanuti, Martin & Lanuti becoming the law firm of Hupp, Lanuti, Irion & Martin, P.C. Frederick W. Irion retired in 1987, and George C. Hupp retired in 1989 and became a Circuit Court Judge in 1990. Joseph E. Lanuti retired in 1997. Frederick W. Irion, George C. Hupp and Joseph E. Lanuti are all deceased.
Richard L. Burton joined the firm in 1987, and Michael W. Fuller joined the firm in 2003. In 2000 the law firm name was changed to Hupp, Lanuti, Irion & Burton, P.C.
In 2019, George C. Hupp, III took the position of Of Counsel with the firm and the name of the firm was changed to Burton, Fuller & Associates, P.C.
